An Exciting Update!
On Saturday September 30th we began doing road repair work at Mt. Benedict Cemetery. We expect the work to continue on Monday 10/2 and Tuesday 10/3.

The offices of Mt. Benedict and Mt. Calvary/New Calvary Cemeteries will be closed on Monday September 4, 2017 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
No funeral services will be scheduled.
If you anticipate a service for Tuesday September 5th please call and place your opening order by Noon on Friday September 1st.
Gates will be open 7:30am to 6:30pm all weekend.

Andrew Leonard was one of Major League Baseball’s Pioneers.
On Saturday September 9, 2017 The Leonard Family, Major League Baseball and The Society for American Baseball Research will dedicate a monument for Andrew Leonard,
one of the original nine professional baseball players at New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street in Mattapan, MA.
This is the second monument that MLB and SABR have erected in the United States.

We thank all of the organizations that place the flags on veteran’s graves for Memorial Day!
The volunteers that place the flags on graves do this as a community service to honor the veteran’s. Flags are not placed on graves by cemetery staff.
Occasionally a veteran’s grave is missed. The cemetery is given a small supply of flags in case this happens.
Should a grave of a loved one be missed please contact Veteran’s Services in Boston to be placed on their list.

2017 Memorial Weekend Hours And Mass Times
The Offices at Mt. Calvary and Mt. Benedict will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm, Saturday 5/27, Sunday 5/28 and Monday 5/29.
The gates at Mt. Benedict Cemetery will be open from 7:30am until 7:00pm.
The gates at Mt. Calvary and New Calvary Cemeteries will be open from 7:30am until 6:30pm.
The gates at St. Mary’s Cemetery will be open from 9:00am until 2:00pm.
Our Annual Memorial Day Masses will be held on Monday May 29th.

Our offices at Mt. Calvary, New Calvary and Mt. Benedict Cemeteries will close at 11:30am
on Friday April 14, 2017 so our employees can observe Good Friday.
Our gates will be open all of Easter weekend. Gates will open at 7:30am and will close at 6:30pm. (Mt. Benedict will close at 7:00pm)
