VETERAN’S DAY
Our offices will be closed on Thursday November 11th for Veteran’s Day.

Mt. Benedict Cemetery
We apologize for the condition of Mt. Benedict Cemetery. We have had a staffing issue that we are working with our employees union to resolve. The high volume of rain and high temperatures have slowed our ability to resolve the grass and trimming issues quickly.
We appreciate your patience and we want to let you know that we are committed to resolving the condition of the cemetery.

MT. BENEDICT OFFICE IS CLOSED TEMPORARILY
The Mt. Benedict office is temporarily closed due to a staff injury. We are not sure how long it will be closed but expect it could be into the fall.
The phones have been forwarded to the Mt. Calvary Office so we can continue to serve you without inconvenience.
All cemetery business for Mt. Benedict will be done at the Mt. Calvary Office until further notice.

MEMORIAL WEEKEND INFORMATION
MEMORIAL WEEKEND INFORMATION
Our Memorial Day Masses have been cancelled.
Our gates will be open all weekend for visitation.
Mount Benedict
Gates open 7:30am
Gates close at 7:00pm
Mount Calvary and New Calvary
Gates open 7:30am
Gates close at 6:30pm
Our offices will be open to the public. Masks are required for entry.

Water
The water is turned on at New Calvary and Mount Benedict. Barrels will be located throughout the cemeteries.
Grass cutting and trimming
Our entire outdoor staff at New Calvary and Mount Calvary were out ill for 2 weeks with Covid and have just returned on Monday 5/3. We are behind preparing the cemeteries due to the loss of our staff. We have hired an outside landscape company to cut and trim the cemetery grass. They should have it completed by Memorial weekend. We thank you for your patience.
Restrooms
Portable restrooms are available as the restrooms in our office buildings are closed to the public.

Flags
The Cemetery does not place flags on graves. Volunteer groups place them each year. If there is no flag on a veteran’s grave please call Veteran’s Services in Boston at 617-635-3507.
MEMORIAL DAY MASSES CANCELLED FOR 2021
It is with great regret that The Board of Directors of the Boston Catholic Cemetery Association must announce the cancellation of our Annual Memorial Day Masses at Mount Benedict and New Calvary Cemetery again this year.
We thank everyone that has supported the Annual Masses for many years.
Our concern for the safety of our families in the current pandemic crisis and the uncertainty of its duration has led to this decision.
We hope to see you on Memorial Day in 2022.
